Have you ever felt like you were climbing one mountain after another, but never quite reached the top? Have you ever wondered around in a desert looking for a way out? Have you ever felt like you were drowning? As we reflect back on our lives, we will examine our benchmarks and trials that have changed how we view life and/or how we view the "Rock."
Am I Sorry Enough? - Pastor Leon Ehlert
Several years ago a survey was conducted by Professor Alfread Schmieding focusing on religious attitudes of Lutheran children. There were many things to note, but most strikingly was almost half were unsure of the forgiveness of sins. How could this occur? What is the solution? In our sturdy we will pay particular attention to the matter of contrition and its role in repentance.
Table Talk Session - retreat participants
During this session, each table will be given a choice of scenarios that reflect some of life's most difficult situations. Participants will use their Bibles to identify passages that show how "Jesus is the Rock." They will discuss how God's Word would help them during life's difficult times, but also how to reach out and witness to others. Sharing of ideas amongst the tables will be offered on a voluntary basis.
