Martin Luther Church and School

The Timber Rattlers game sponsored by the Men’s Club will be Friday, June 6. You are invited to join 40 others from church for a tailgate supper and the baseball game. Tickets cost $8.00 per person. A sign up sheet is on the table in the back of the worship area. Please indicate the number of tickets you want and if you will attend the tailgate supper. Checks can be made out to Dennis Zorn. Those who attend the tailgate supper need to bring beverages, table ware, meat to grill, a picnic food to share and chairs. A grill to grill on, food tables, and condiments are provided.

A voters meeting is being held between services on Sunday in which we will vote on the materials and color scheme that we will use in redecorating our church. The meeting will be held in the Commons room of the school due to the baptism in church between services.

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped remove the church pews, the carpet runner and the carpet tack strips on Monday, May 5. Also thanks to those who cleaned the church basement and arranged everything so that we can hold our services in the basement until some time in July when we return to our church sanctuary. We will rededicate our church the first weekend we return to the church proper.

Youth in Grades 8-12 are invited to take part in the two day fun of “Empty Dugout” being held for the Youth of our Northern Wisconsin District at Fox Valley H.S. on June 28-29. Cost is $20 per youth plus $25 registration fee the church pays. We must know by May 18 if you will participate. If we don’t have enough people for a team, our youth will be combined with others to make a team. If you are coming, please sign up on the sheet in the narthex. Information is available there too or talk to Pastor Berg.

Park View Health Center needs volunteers to help get residents from their rooms to attend the WELS church service on Sunday mornings. This would involve working for about an hour one Sunday a month or less at the new facility. Those who are interested should contact Allen Krause at 216-0092.
