Early Childhood Program

Our Program

Martin Luther Pre-K is an early learning program for ages 3 through 5. It exists to provide a service for families who want a quality early learning experience for their child in a safe, nurturing, Christ-centered environment.

Our Goals

Martin Luther Pre-K's number one priority is to give all students a Christ-centered education. We also strive to provide experiences that assist parents in nurturing the spiritual, physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development of their young children. We believe that children learn best through hands-on experiences that are developmentally appropriate for young children.

Specifically, these goals are accomplished:

  • With activities that exercise children's bodies.
  • With experiences and stories that encourage children to explore God's world, to solve problems, and express feelings.
  • With a social environment that encourages children to play and to talk to each other and adults.
  • With teachers who recognize the individuality of each child's abilities and needs.

Our Curriculum

The curriculum is based on the High Scope philosophy. The High Scope curriculum emphasizes adult/child interaction, a carefully designed learning environment, and a plan-do-review process that strengthens initiative and self-reliance in children and young people.

Teachers and students are active partners in shaping the educational experience.
